We have a 35-years old Southern California home. The Master bath seriously needs remodel. We are looking for bathroom layout ideas.
The space is 15' 6" x 9'2".
Within this space there is currently a "toilet room" 3'x9'2" , at the far end of the space that can be closed off for privacy by a pocket door. There is also a window in this room. The current 3x3 stall shower is in this room.
In this room I would like to move the toilet to where the shower is (if not too complicated) and put storage where the toilet currently is.
Outside of the toilet room on the shower side, there is a bathtub that is never used.
We would like to replace the bathtub with a shower. The shower should be large enough to have a wet and dry area.
We also need a shower seat.
Giving 6" for the wall between the toilet room and the bathtub the wall is 4'3"x5'10" the rest of that wall is taken up by closet.
Across from the bathtub, there are 2 sinks and cabinets, this area is 3'5"x8'. The entrance to the master bathroom is from the master bedroom. The open entrance is 3'6".
I'm hoping it is feasible for cabinets that are 35" with a depth of 22"-24" with a center pier or tower cabinet. There is currently a soffit over the sink area.
Dimensions as follows:
Dwg far left -- top wall to window - 2' 5"
window width - 2' 6-1/2"
bottom wall to window - 4' 1-1/2"
So full width of room is 9' 1 or 2"
Middle dwg -- top wall to door - 2' 5"
door width - 2' 3"
bottom wall to door - 4' 6"
Adds up to 9' 2"
bottom wall to closet - 2' 5"
left wall to closet wall - 9' 3"
Dwg far right -- bedroom to bathroom wall depth - 1' 5"
vanity top to wall - 10"
bathroom entry width - 3' 6"
