New wine concept store.
We are a French start-up and are willing to open a new concept store to sell organic wine.
We don't have the space yet as we are in the process of submitting our project to investors, but our need for this project is a store of about 180 m2 and a cellar of about 50 m2
So the main reason we want an architect to help us is for him to design what this concept may look like and get a drawing (or a three D image) of the future store, so the investors will be able to visualize exactly how the future store will look.
If the work is great or outstanding, we will highly consider working with this architect for the real store after.
We want to re-introduce the winemaker art and the nature in our store.
We don't want to have our store to look like a wine cliché or like a store who already exist, but to be really novator and using the most modern technology.A mix with traditonal, earthy style and modernity and technology.
The place has to be appealling to the five human senses.
Experimentation will take place within the store where people can smell some test tubes with wine aroma, see a real winetree, meet from time to time real winemakers explaining their jobs, watch little movies about wine making, realize one own wine label, taste some wines, etc...
The cellar where the bottle of wine will be in stock will be at the same time a meeting room where about 15 persons can take place to assist to wine tasting classes.
The concept with this store is, of course to sell wine, but before that, to have the customer full of wonder about the world of wine making. To see "sparles" in his eyes. to feel like being in a great show. The place will welome families and even children (not for wine tasting of course) an invite them to a complete new shopping experience.
All the wine will be organic, but we don't want to necessarily to communicate too much on this aspect. The quality of our wines comes first.
The store will sell wine of course, about 200 different wines (which is not a lot for a wine store) and the selection of the wine will be really strict, but will also sell books on wine, CD, DVD, glassware, wine articles and trips to the wine regions…
It will be in the store a quite large machine wich is a wine dispenser in order to get wine for wine tatsing. This is the URL where you can see those machine : http://www.enomatic.fr/media/galerie-photo/
The cellar where the bottle of wine will be stocked will be at the same time a meeting room where about 15 persons can take place to assist to wine tasting classes.
Within the store will also take place a little area (wine bar) where people can drink their glass of wine (with small plates of charcuteries) and relax or read wine magazines.
As the concept will be deployed as a franchise, we will need soon also, the exact same spirit and appearance but for smaller shops (between 50m2 and 100m2 and cellar between 25 and 35 m2). So keep in mind that when designing the main store.
When I will be choosing the project, I will ask myself those two questions:
• Will the design of this store be appealing enough that a person who usually doesn't buy wine or isn't curious about wine will want to enter the store?
• Will the store design still make customers who usually buy wine still wanting to buy their wine in this store?
Also the major point for me will be in the store to express the respect and gratitude towards the nature and the winemakers, mixing this aspect with a definitively modern and technologic approach.
I am not enclosing our actual logo as the project is still confidential, but the new store won't have our company name but this name : L'œnostore.
