Creating a steel structure to maintain the Nomad Hotel with 3 close sides and an option to close the 4th side by curtain wall.
-First for a hotel project it is all about orientation the building must be have a good daylight quality where I used the a wide surface of glass to inter the daylight and shifting the 2 floors.
-Second making the south elevation narrower to face the direct sun light which make buildings more hot. Making an incline roof on 2 layers to make a ventilation through it to reduce the heat and installing photo voltaic panels to reduce the the cost of energy.
-Third elevation is the eastern elevation which I would like to make it open to supply the building with good air quality.
- the fourth elevation is the western elevation which have to be protected and sealed due to the dust wind which come from the south west direction.
- elevating the building 60 cm from the ground due to the desert environment to avoid snakes and scorpions and to make a space to store the hydraulic tank for the doors and the batteries for the energy supplied from the photo voltaic panels.
- using reflective surfaces for metal surfaces and rough textures to reduce the heat by reflecting it.
-using local plants like echinocereus triglochidiatus, carnegiea gigantea, opuntia_ficus-indica and phoenix dactylifera is appreciated in the landscape.
- providing a barbecue area is a good idea between the airstream at the eastern side to provide an intimate zone between the clients and the space.
