Thank you very much for a great submission. A lot of good ideas and great graphical material. However, I think that roof might be difficult to work in Norwegian clima with a lot of strong winds and snow, and the weight might pose a challenge. Building it sturdy would potentially be expensive.
The Front Door and Entrance was nice, especially liked the opening at the entrance with the single pillar. Using the wooden false wall to block the entrance was nice. 2nd floor is well organised, with lots of storage. Project however was let down by not fully meeting the brief in regards to the Staircase, it could not be blocked off in its current position.
Thank you for your submission. The shelves looked really nice. Probably the main comment was the contrast in colors was a bit too much, It could've been smoother. But we really appreciate your time and effort.
I don't like the piece behind the bed or the multiple hanging lamps.
Proposal wall dimensions exceeded baseline room dimensions.
This made good use of the space in a nice, clean design that is buildable without breaking the bank or doing major reworking of the room itself. It was very sensitive to the desired uses of the room making the space versatile without being either too cluttered or too open.
Could not visualize all the components due to incomplete artwork but general idea meets partial of the requirement and this is buildable.
Like the reading nook design and the idea to paint the columns a darker color. Layout seems reasonable. The design style is a bit more modern than we would prefer.
This was ranked in our top 3 designs. The designer met all the requirements, and we really loved the aesthetics (esp. the skylights).
My ranking criteria were aesthetic of the design, affordability, practicality, and use of green materials. Aesthetics - I think the aesthetics of this design were a little different than what I asked for. I wanted a more open and airy design with some masculine tones and bold colors. The family room and kitchen were very cave like with little color. The colors in the dining room and living room were also subdued, except for the card table which was a bright green and seemed out of place. The upstairs was much better, except I did not see plans for the office or the toy room. So I took off points for an incomplete design. Affordability - I like how the designer gave me the prices and names for all of the items in a map format. That was really nice. This allows me to easily purchase an item that I like. Elements were from a variety of stores and so it would be somewhat time consuming to buy them from a bunch of different vendors. Practicality - The design was very practical in that all of the pieces that needed to be there were there. They were also placed in the appropriate locations and were designed well to fit the space. Great job! This would have been one of my favorite designs if the aesthetics was slightly different. Green materials - I didn't see this highlighted in the design. Things that I will use: My favorite part of this design was my son's bedroom and the layout of the furniture. I think this design could have been ranked higher if it had been complete. Thanks for your design submission!
Dear Designer, Your design was beautiful, and very different from the others. I like that it was so unique. I especially loved the roof line, the entryway and the garage door. In the end, it was the budget that made our final decision, and we didn't have a large enough budget to rebuild the east facade as stated in the Project Brief. Thank you for participating in the contest. You are very talented and I wish you much success in your career.
Great concept and really like the idea of the storage under the hearth. The choice of color for the stone was great as, for me, gave it the cottage feel, which I do like.
The glass sunroom was an idea that we had not thought of. The layout of the interior worked with what we were thinking.
Good 3D designs, but the flow seem quite constricted with the desk layout, and too much partitions so it's not as open as we like it. Thanks.
Certainly lots of work went into this design, but replacing the wall facades with brick is not in line with the design brief.
