1/29/14 Dear Arc 519, thank you for all the work you put into my project. Your submission was unique. It must have been very difficult to do all that work by hand. Your creative redesign differed from the scope of my project plans. I did like the strong and majestic appearance of your design. The idea of a fly bridge was very cool. I had a difficult time seeing how the entire redesign would work within my plans. Best of luck to you in all your future endeavors.
Thank you for submitting an entry that obviously took you a lot of time to create. We like the idea of the "green roof" over the carport/garage and the concept of "mezzanine storage" in the garage. It was interesting to see the old-school drawing and modeling presentation. However, we live in a standard, suburban neighborhood, and you created a sprawling, walled compound, violating front setback lines and fencing rules for our property. You also took quite a bit of license with the entire house and created something that doesn't resemble the homes in our area or meet our design requirements, so in that manner is unworkable. Putting the sewing room and laundry room in the garage is not practical and putting the garden so that it is surrounded on all sides by buildings isn't healthy for a garden in our climate. Also, access for heavy equipment to reach the utility easement has been eliminated, which is unworkable.
