PATIO AS ORGANIZER
This proposal is structured on a Mexican style that evocates the inside patio that commonly is found in classical Mexican “Quintas”.
Aspects like: outside and internal arches with wood beams; a typical fountain; colorful flowers and traditional plants, recreate a comfortable place from Mexico where you
want to stay.
Based on the functional organization originally requested by the customer in two levels, different areas such as restrooms, stairways, warehousing and operational services were arranged at the back of the building (south side) in order to keep the operational
The furniture and accessories are organized starting from an internal patio with an artificial and transparent structure as a roof that is located in the center zone of the first level. Here, you can find an area with small rounded tables (4 seats by table) that surround a fountain with a fresh ambiance. This place is ideal to drink a good coffee and also to remember the name of the restaurant: “Cafe Aroma”.
SECTIONS & SPACES
The room continues with an area of rectangle tables with more seats for huge groups, which evocate the style of the classical Mexican dinning rooms.
At the East side of the first level, divided by a long bench, there is an area of small tables with 2 seats that can be perfectly arranged to more seats according to the event or customer demands. Next, an area of squared tables and a hallway that communicates the food service area to the different tables located inside and outside of the restaurant.
At the Westside of the first level, tables are arranged in niches with a capacity of 4 seats per niche. In parallel, there is hallway that communicates this area to the restrooms and followed by squared tables toward the central area (Coffee zone).
There are two accesses to the building: At the West side, it is a frontal door that communicates to an anteroom decorated with a typical Mexican rug with mosaics. After that, it communicates to the restrooms. On the other hand, at the East side of the restaurant, has a frontal door that communicates to a hallway that facilitates the provision of services to the customer.
Internal furniture and accessories preserve an elegant style, but always keeping allusiveness to the colors of Mexican food in both, chairs and tabletops.
Based on the customer premises related to furniture mobility for the external area of the restaurant, it is proposed to use lightweight and extensible chairs, squared tables with 4 seats that are always accompanied with umbrellas or pergolas in order to keep the Latin style.
As a suggestion and considering that the customer did not mention it, it could be advisable to add a lounge area to recreate a new area in the restaurant.
In conclusion and based on this proposal, the restaurant in its internal area will have a capacity of: 114 seats and will have a capacity of: 80 seats in the external area of the restaurant. Finally, it is a total of 194 seats.
At night, the lights define different relationships between spaces. The lighting in some parts highlighted some focal element of interest, while in other parts unify different environments.
