We are looking to add curb appeal to our home. We live in the Edgebrook neighborhood of Chicago, around a lot of Tudor and Georgian style houses. We'd like to bring an inviting "cottage feel" to the house. We're looking to change the walkway, porch, door, windows, and landscaping. We're open to changing accents and colors. We like natural materials like cedar, stone, and copper, and lean toward a casual/natural landscape design. We'd like to soften the hard angles of the house.
We're going to work with the brick we have, we don't want it painted. Right now, we can't afford to replace the roof or add to the second floor (although siding/fascia can be changed). We're not looking to make major structural changes at this time.
Total cost of project cannot exceed $25,000. The width of the house is 25ft, and we have 22ft between the house and the public sidwalk.
