Consider for design: More counter/prep space, a great deal more storage (floor to ceiling storage desired in certain areas), raised ceilings to 8'.
Avoid: busy granite countertops (prefer solid color quartz), dark cabinetry (white preferred), square tiles on floor (prefer plank-style). I'd prefer not to move plumbing, but would re-route gas for superior design. An eat-in kitchen is not needed, but I'd like an island or peninsula for people to gather.
Important in decision making: functionality and storage, budget approximately $40,000, space for double wall-ovens and 5-burner gas cooktop, dishwasher, refrigerator (W: 35.75" D: 37.9" H: 70"), possible warming drawer.
