The idea of this design is to provide a functional kitchen with a modernist feel. The main materials used are wood patterned MDF, and black glass. The pantry is enlarged, and the electrical equipment (refrigerator, and dual ovens) have been built in. A sliding, tall glass door lead to the pantry allowing for natural light without revealing the pantry's contents to the main kitchen. The pantry tries to be eco-friendly by using recycled milk crates. Dishwasher, dual sinks, and a hot plate have been lined up on the south wall while the hood has been hidden in MDF to fit in with the theme. The sinks have been raised to 90 cm so the person using them wouldn't have to bend over and strain their back. The raise also comes to the height of the bar, which is the main piece of the design. The bar itself is a soaring piece of countertop MDF, with designer stools. Some cabinetry, and shelving provide the support and are outlined with LED lights. The pantry makes heavy use of milk crates, and incorporates a metal mop locker.
