Thanks for the opportunity to design your Kitchen. It was a real head scratcher!
And it turned out really nicely! The counter space grew into a breakfast bar with seating space for 3 comfortably. New tall pantry’s add storage for bulkier items. I also incorporated plenty of the essentials for increasing your storage function too. The sink moved into the corner relocating your main work space in front of the window. This change provided additional counter top between the Sink and Range for everyday prep. A Sink can be as large as a 33” double bowl when installed in the corner like this. (The base cabinets would need to be scooped at the Sink area to accommodate it, but it works- I did it at my home.) You now have a double pull out waste unit to the your right when standing facing the Sink,
4 drawers to your left next to the Dishwasher. The other base corner has a nifty turn out with sliding trays for lots of pot and pan storage. Shifting the range down lets you have a 15” base cabinet to the right of the range. There is also a 3 drawer base unit next to the dishwasher for more pots & pans, lids or bowls. Both of the pantry’s have pull out trays for easy access to bulky items and infrequently used appliances. A fun item is the storage shelves in the corner where you currently have your desk. The commercial stainless shelving over the wall cabinet gives open storage with an edge. I did note a few suggestions for your material selection keeping in mind not to blow your budget. The Cabinets I’m suggesting are very economical and have a fast shipping schedule. The quartz is from a large distributor here in my area (not a big name brand). It generally appeals to builder’s price points but gives the high end look of polished marble. The sink, faucet, appliances and accessories I’m suggesting again because they deliver the look and help stay in budget with fast shipping out of Florida. Minor relocates of the sink and Range should keep your construction budget from getting out of hand. It would be nice to install the Security key pad in the side of the Pantry. This would require an additional face frame with a door attached, and would add to your project cost.
Thanks again for the challenge!
