The main focus of this project was maximize the usable space, within a limited square footage, in order to create an open atmosphere. First we extended the bathroom footprint by about 2 feet longer and 1 foot wider, this small increase allows for a much more efficient use of space. Keeping space in mind we decided to go with a sliding barn door increasing the circulation space in both your bathroom and bedroom. The small closet was converted into open shelving. Inside the bathroom immediately to your right is the double vanity which is focal piece of the room. The vanity became the inspiration for the color palette and the molding wrapped around the wall tied into the molding in the bedroom. The small hexonal tile flooring, the 60" mirror above the vanity, and the glass shower door combine to visually enhance the feeling of a spacious room. Complimenting the vanity are his and hers sconces and towel rings. We chose to put an operable seat in the shower, once again to maximize space.
